     Saurbroten (Cooking for 2)

Ingredients
2 Beef Shanks (8 oz.)
1/2 cup Vinegar
3/4 cup Red Wine
2 Tbls. Pickling Spice
1/4 tsp salt
1 Onion Sliced
1 Carrot Sliced
3 Gingersnaps
 
Instructions
Marinade Overnight. Brown meat, add marinnade,carrots and onions.(remove pickling spice) Simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add gingersnaps and cook for 1 more hour.
