     Ma Needham's Cookies

Recommendations 		  milk
Ingredients
1 c sugar
1 c lard
1 c molassses
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp salt
2 level tsp baking soda in 3/4 cup boiling water.
2 TBSP vinegar
Flour enough to make a stiff dough
 
Instructions
Mix together the first 6 ingredients.
Mix vinegar into hot water and soda. Add to first ingredients. Mix in enough flour so that the dough can be rolled.
Roll thinly on a floured surface; cut into shapes or circles. Soak raisons in hot water and place one in the center of each cookie.
