     Seven Seas (Hot Milk) Cake

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None
Servings   12
Preptime   25 minutes

Ingredients
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
For Icing, see "Mocha Frosting" recipe

Instructions
Beat the eggs until thick and lemon colored. Add sugar, very little at a time, beating constantly. (Step 4 contains the baking instructions, read them now!)
Sift the flour and baking powder together, and slowly add to the sugar/egg mixture, continue beating the mixture.
Melt the butter in the milk, and heat both until just to the boiling point. Mix in with the other ingredients slowly (still with the electric mixer); add vanilla.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes in a 9 inch pan. Butter the entire pan, then cut a round sheet of wax paper and stick it to the bottom of the pan, then butter the top of that wax paper sheet. The cake likes to stick to the pan, butter everything!!!
Serving Suggestions
I also suggest making two of these and creating a layer cake!
