     Nut Crust (for Cranberry Torte)

Ingredients
10 oz finrely chopped walnuts (or almonds)
1/2 lb (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1/3 c sugar
3 c flour
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
 

Instructions
preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix together all ingredients until well blended. Divide in 1/2 and press each into 9 in buttered springform pans. Chill for 30 minutes before baking. Bake 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
