3 pounds canned yams, approximately 3 cups without juice
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup evaporated Pet milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
Instructions
Beat yams, egg, sugar, salt, milk and vanilla together; spread into a 9 x 9 inch or 7 x 11 inch dish. Mix remaining ingredients together until crumbly; sprinkle over the top of the sweet potatoes. bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
