     New Mexico Hamburger Chili Bake

Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 - 10 3/4 ounce cans cream of chicken soup
1 tall can evaporated milk
1 small can evaporated milk
1 - 4 ounce can green chilies, chopped
12 corn tortillas, 6 inch size, cut in fourths
1/2 pound longhorn cheese, shredded
 

Instructions
Crumble beef into heated skillet; add onion. Cook over moderate heat until meat loses red color. Combine soup, evaporated milk and chilies; mix until smooth. Combine beef and soup mixtures. Cover bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch pan with half the tortillas quarters; spoon half the hamburger mixture over tortillas. Arrange remaining tortillas on top; spoon on remaining hamburger mixture. Sprinkle top with cheese; bake uncovered in preheated 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes until bubbly.
