Mix dry ingredients together in large saucepan. Add milk; mix thoroughly. Cook over medium heat until forms soft ball when dropped in cold water; remove from heat. Add vanilla and butter; stir until mixture starts to harden (gets real shiny in color). Pour immediately into platter; let cool. Cut into squares.
