2 slices pancetta
|

3/4 lb. penne pasta
|

butter
|

olive oil
|

1 small onion

2 cloves garlic
|

1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
|

1 8oz. can tomato sauce
|
|
1 cup heavy cream
|
|
|
|
parsley
|
|
basil
|

salt and pepper

Instructions |
|
|
cube and cook the pancetta, remove from pan, add 2 tbs butter and olive oil, cook onions and garlic
|
|
|
Add white wine/broth and reduce
|
|
|
add tomato sauce and heavy cream, continue stirring and reduce heat
|
|
|
return pancetta to pan, add salt and pepper to taste, pour over penne and combine to coat pasta
|
