     Pepper Rasam

Ingredients
1 tsp cummin seeds
1 tsp whole black peppercorns
little hing
1 cup cooked dhal
pinch of turmeric
a few curry leaves
1 tblspn cilantro leaves
1 cup pureed tomatoes
a tbsp of tamarind juice - soak the tamarind in warm water and make the juice by squeezing the tamar
 
Sugar to taste
1 tsp ghee
1/2 tsp mustar seeds
1/4 tsp chopped garlic

Instructions
Boil the dhal well, add the tomato juice and churn it well add more water so that you can drink this or mix it with rice.
Fry pepper, jeera,and hing with little ghee and make a coarse powder. Add curry leaves,coriander, sugar ,salt pepper and jeera powder.
Boil it well and season with ghee adding mustard seeds and chopped garlic
Serving Suggestions
Should be served piping hot. It is soothing for a sore throat or colds and coughs
