     Fudge Cake

Ingredients
4 ounces bitter chocolate
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk
2 cup cake flour
4 eggs, separated
1 teaspoon baking powder
 

Instructions
Cook chocolate and milk in double boiler until thick as custard; cool. Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Add sugar gradually. Add flour and baking powder which have been sifted together alternately with chocolate mixture. Fold in the well beaten egg whites. Add vanilla. Pour in pan lined with paper. Bake in 350 degree oven 45 to 50 minutes. Cool and cover with the following frosting.
Fudge Frosting- 3 ounces sweet vanilla chocolate 1/2 cup sweet cream
Melt chocolate in double boiler. put top of double boiler directly over low heat. Add cream; mix until thick life fudge. Remove from heat and cool. put on top of cake.
