Ingredients
8 ounces elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon mustard
2 1/2 cups milk
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs
 

Instructions
COOK elbows according to package directions. Meanwhile melt butter in medium saucepan. Stir in flour, salt and mustard. Add milk, stirring constantly with wire whisk until mixture comes to a boil and thickens slightly.
Add shredded cheese, stirring until cheese melts. Remove from heat
Drain cooked pasta, return to large kettle, add cheese mixture. Turn pasta and cheese into greased 2 quart oven casserole dish. Top with buttered bread crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 mins or until mixture is nicely browned and bubbly.
