     Chocolate Pound Cake

Ingredients
1 cup boiling water
2 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 3/4 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
 
1/2 cup dairy sour cream

Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Pour boiling water into a small bowl and melt chocolate in it; set aside to cool. Thoroughly grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. In a medium bowl, sift flour, soda and salt. In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Alternately add flour mixture with the sour cream, blending well, then beat int he cooled chocolate water mixture. Bake until well risen, lightly browned, and firm to the touch, about 1 hour. Remove from oven and cool on the rack 15 minutes; then turn out onto the rack. Reverse the loaf so that it is top side up. Serve plain.
