     Panchki (Polish donut)

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups milk
2 pks. dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter/oleo
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
 
1 oz. whiskey or orange juice
5 1/2 cups flour a

Instructions
Scald milk, cool to lukewarm. disolve yeast in water, add to milk.
Beat oleo and sugar till creamy. Beat in egg yolks, 1 at a time. Add salt, nutmeg, oj and vanilla. Mix well.
Add 5 cups flour alternating with milk. Turn onto floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic, 7-10 min. Let rise untill double in size.
Roll out and cut with round cookie cutter or glass. Let rise again. Fry till golden brown. Shake in bag of sugar
