Line a square baking dish with foil or waxed paper and grease lightly.
In a large saucepan combine marshmallow, sugar, milk, butter and salt. Heat over med-high until you reach a rolling boil. Stir constantly, and continue to boil for five minutes.
Continue to stir constantly while you remove from the heat and add the chocolate chips. Mix until chocolate is melted and your fudge has an even texture. Add nuts and vanilla.
Pour into your prepared dish. Spread evenly and cool in the refrigerator. Cut into 1 or 1 1/2 inch squares.
