     Sauerkraut - Sweet and Sour Kraut

Ingredients
4 bacon strips, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can (27 oz) sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
1 cup packed brown sugar
 

Instructions
In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove with slotted spoon to paper towel, reserving 1 Tbsp drippings.
Saute onion in drippings until tender. Stir in kraut, tomatoes, brown sugar and bacon. Bring to a boil. Transfer to a greased 1 1/2 qt baking dish.
Bake at 350 deg., uncovered, for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
This is really, really good.
