First three ingredients in double boiler, water on bottom. Add
gradually milk and cream. Cook covered over hot
water for 8 minutes w/o steering then 10
minutes more uncovered.
Add egg yolks and butter for further 2 minutes.
Take off gas top, cool mixture steering occasionally to release
steam.
Add vanilla, fold in whipped cream.
Chill.
