Coat meat in flour and brown in dutch oven in a few tbsp of shortening. Add onion.
Combine remaining ingredients, except noodles and mushrooms, and stir. Pour over meat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and let simmer for 2 hours or until tender.
After meat is tender, turn off heat and let sit in juices to absorb more flavor. Add mushrooms 1/2 hour before serving. Thicken if necessary.
Serve over noodles.
Hint - Make early in the day. After the meat is tender, turn off heat and let it sit in the juice and absorb lots of flavor.
