3/4 cup packed brown sugar

6 slices pineapple

marascino cherries
|

pecan halves

1/2 cup butter
|

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg
|

1 1/2 cups flour
|

1 1/2 tsp baking powder
|
|
1/2 tsp salt
|
|
1/2 cup milk

Instructions |

|
In a 9 inch square cake pan, melt butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange pineapple, cherries and pecan halves on sugar.
|

|
Make cake batter by creaming butter and sugar, add egg and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternatively with milk.
|
|
|
Beat till smooth, ending with dry ingredients.
|
|
|
Pour into pan over sugar and other ingredients, bake at 375 for 35 minutes. Let cake cool 5 minutes, then turn onto serving plate.
