     Substitute for Light Corn Syrup

Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup water
 

Instructions
Combine all ingredients in large heavy pot and bring to a boil. Cover and boil three minutes. Uncover and cook to soft ball stage (236 degrees) and let cool.
Will keep in fridge for up to 2 months.
