     Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
2 tbs. butter
1 tbs. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsps. white sugar
1/4 cup onion, diced
1 cup sour cream
3 (14.5) cans green beans, drained
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
 
1/2 cup round crackers, crumbled
1 tbs. butter, melted

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in a saucepan and add the onions. Sautee the onions until soft.
Add the flour and additional butter if needed. Cook for one minute, stirring the onion until smooth. Add the seasonings and sour cream and stir.
Place the beans in the pan and coat with the mixture.
Transfer all the ingredients to a casserole or baking dish. Top with the cheese. In a mixing bowl, combine the smashed crackers with the butter and put this over the cheese. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
Serving Suggestions
Serve immediately.
