1-2 lb stewmeat

4-6 carrots, sliced

2-3 ribs celery

large onions sliced or bag of frozen pearl onions

2 cups canned whole tomatoes with juice

1 tablespoon sugar
|

1 tablespoon salt
|
|
3 tablespoons tapioca
|
|
1 cup burgundy wine, or any red wine

Instructions |
|
|
Mix together only the tomatoes with its juice and the tapioca and let
rest for 15 minutes
|
|
|
Combine meat and vegetables in oven proof dutch oven or casserole dish
and cover.
|
|
|
Pour tomato mixture over and cook for 2 hours in 375 degree oven.
|
|
|
Add sliced fresh mushrooms and bake uncovered for 2 more hours. serve
over rice or noodles.
