     Heidi's Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients
Mix well-
2 cups flour (I use whole wheat pastry flour)
4 tsps baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/3 c sugar
Cut in-
1/2 c shortening (I always use butter)
 
Add and stir until barely mixed-
2/3 c milk
Instructions
Drop by large spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. (Makes 8-10 biscuits.) Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and done in the center. Cool.
Serve with sliced strawberries (3 cups berries and 1/4 cup sugar) and sweetened whipped cream (2 cups cream and 2 Tbls powder sugar).
