     Buckeye Candies

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   Holiday Dish
Servings   150 balls

Ingredients
6 ounces semi-sweet choc chips
1/2 cake paraffin wax
1 - 8 oz. Hershey chocolate bar
1 cup margarine softened
4 cups crunchy peanut butter
6 cups Rice Krispies
1 1/2 pounds powdered sugar

Instructions
Melt chocolate chips, wax, and Hershey bars in a double boiler over low heat. Do not boil. Mix margarine, peanut butter, Rice Krispies and powdered sugar and form into walnut sized balls. Optional: You can freeze balls for 1 hour at this point.
The freezing makes the balls easier to work with. Place balls on a toothpick and dip into melted chocolate. Place coated balls on waxed paper. Let chocolate set. If chocolate becomes to thick, reheat and/or add more wax.
Variation: After the chocolate has set, you can use some leftover chocolate to drizzle a thin stream over the finished balls. A plastic bag with a small hole cut in one corner works well as a make shift pastry bag.
Substitution: Almond Bark/Chocolate Bark can be used for the chocolate mixture. This can be easily microwaved for use instead of the double boiler.
Serving Suggestions
Can be refrigerated or frozen.
