Sift the dry ingredients together. Then With a pastry cutter, cut
in shortening.

Add buttermilk and mix with a fork until moistened. Next
separate into 2 portions.

|
Roll each portion into a round on a floured surface into about 1/
2 inch thick. Cut into triangle shapes.
|
|
|
Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for about
20 mins, or until they are nicely browned. Makes abou 12
scones.
