     Homemade Corn Bread

Ingredients
1 cup cornmeal
1 scant cup flour (a little less than full cup)
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 Tbsp oil
1 cup buttermilk
 

Instructions
Stir the first 5 ingredients together. Mix well
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. (You may need to add more buttermilk) Beat slightly thin.
Spray iron skillet and bake in a 425 degree oven until done. (approx 20 minutes or so)
