Ingredients
Enough fruit to cover the bottom of an oblong baking pan
Any fruit is great, even frozen berries will work
3/4 Cup sugar (to be sprinkled over the fruit)
Cinnamon (if fruit is apple, apricot etc to be sprinkled over fruit with sugar)
1/2 Cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
Pinch of salt
 
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions
Lay fruit over bottom of baking pan. Sprinkle 3/4 cup sugar and cinnamon over fruit.
Cream butter, sugar and egg. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Spoon on top of fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes (or until golden brown).
Serving Suggestions
With cream or ice cream.
