Heat oven to 400 degrees, mix brown sugar, shortening, egg and vanilla in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 8-10 minutes.
