     Grandma's Meatloaf

Ingredients
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 egg
1/2 c. dry bread or cracker crumbs
1/4 c. milk
2 T. dry onions (or 1 envelope onion soup mix)
I-2 cans cream of mushroom or golden mushroom soup
4 potatoes, cut into 1/4 inch slices
 

Instructions
Mix first five ingredients, form into a loaf about 2 inches thick, and put into dutch oven or roasting pan.
Pour soup over meat, then put sliced potatoes on top. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake in dutch oven with one layer of coals on bottom and two layers on top. Or bake in an electric oven at 350 for about an hour.
Use one or two cans of soup, depending on how many potatoes and how much gravy you want.
