     Cabbage Patch Stew

Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
2 med. onions, sliced
1-1/2 c. coarsely chopped cabbage
1/2 c. diced celery
1 - 16 oz. can tomatoes
1-1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
 
Instructions
Cook and stir meat in dutch oven until browned. Spoon off fat. Add onions, cabbage and celery. Cook and stir until vegetables are light brown.
Stir in tomatoes and seasonings. Cover tightly. Simmer 15 minutes. Serve immediately.
Variations- Stir in one 15 1/2 oz. can kidney beans. I've also added rice and carrots.
