Cheese (Shreaded Chedder works well, if you want to be adventurours try using Colby Jack cheese).
Butter
Loaf of thinkly sliced bread (you may want to get an uncut fresh loaf and then slice it yourself)
Bacon (optional)
Green Pepper
1 white onion
1/4 Cup of Half and Half
Instructions
Finely dice half of the onion, and also half of the green peper. Set aside
Brown the saugsage. You want to cook the sausage in a similar manner of browning ground beef. Add some of the diced onions and green peppers to the meat (to your choosing). Also, season with salt, pepper, onion powder and also garlic powder to your liking. Once the meat is cooked through, set aside to cool. (If you are adding bacon, cook that then crumble the bacon in with the sausage.)
In a baking pan, greese it down with butter. Once it is completely greesed line the pan with the sliced bread. Set this aside. Now take your eggs, I usually use between 2-3 dozen depending on the number of people to feed and the size of the pan. Beat the eggs, while mixing in about a 1/4 cup of half and half. Season eggs and add cheese about a handful or two of cheese.
Layer the bread with a layer of meat, then a layer of cheese. After that, pour in egg mixture. You can add more meat into the pan along with more cheese and peppers and onions (remember the meatier and cheesier the better). Cover with foil and refigertate overnight. In the morning, preheat over to 350'. Bake for 30-40 mins (until eggs rise). You may have to turn the over to broil once the major of it cooked to cook the top of the casserole. Once the casserole is solid it is completely done. Time to eat
