21/3 cups flour
|
|
3 tsp double acting baking powder.
|
|
1 tsp salt
|
|
1 tsp sugar
|
|
4 tsp shortening
|
|
1 egg
|
|
2/3 cup milk
|

|
|
|
|
|

|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Preheat oven to 425. Sift in bowl flour, baking powder, salt, sugar. cut in shortening and add egg and milk.

Knead lightly, pat or roll out to desired thickness, and cut with floured cutter.

|
bake about 15 minutes
|
|
|
for drop biscuits use 1 cup milk instead of 2/3
|
|
