Combine eggs, raisins and vanilla; let stand for 1 hour.
Cream together butter and sugars. Mix flour, salt, cinnamon and soda; add to sugar mixture. Mix well. Blend in egg-raisin mixture, oats, chopped nuts and chocolate chips. Dough will be stiff.
Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet or roll into small balls and flatten slightly on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
for icing- In a small saucepan heat 1/2 c butter over medium heat until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in 3 c sifted powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Stir in 3 to 4 Tbs water to make a drizzling consistency. Drizzle on warm cookies.
