Combine in saucepan, sugar, water, peanuts and syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla, salt and food coloring.
Beat constantly until creamy smooth. Drop by teaspoons on fil lined pan.
Beat until creamy, sounds deceptively simple.
The syrup mixture is usually very, very hot and it will take some time to cool, all the while beating. Our suggestion is that you do the beating in a very cool location to speed up the process.
