Beat butter and sugar with mixer on high speed until fluffy. Add melted chocolate and mix thouroughly. Add eggs and vanilla, continue to beat 2 minutes. Reduce speed to low, add flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat just until combined.
Heat oven to 350°F. Shape tablespoons of dough into balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place balls 1 inch apart on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake 12 minutes until cookies crackle. Let cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Transfer cookies to wire racks or waxed paper, and let cool completely.
