1 cup shortening

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon each baking soda, baking powder, salt

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 cup canned pumpkin

Instructions |

Preheat over to 350 degrees F.
|

|
In a large bowl, mix sugar, egg, shortening and vanilla.
|

Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir into the creamed mixture, then stir in pumpkin.
|

|
|
Spoon dough onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 12 minutes and then cool. Make any design on cooled cookie with icing.
