Mix butter, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Add in eggs.
Mix in dry ingredients and stir well.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown. Remove from oven. Leave on cookie sheet for 6 to 8 minutes to finish baking then remove to cooling rack.
