Combine sugar, flour, salt in top of double boiler, add milk and egg yolks mixing throughly. Place over rapid by boilig water and cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from fire but allow to remain over hot water Caramilize sugar, add at once to thickened mixture, stirring until blended. Add butter and vanilla, cool. Turn into pie shell. Garnish with ring of whipped cream and sprinkle cream with coconut.
