     Egg & Meat Casserole Ala Romana

Ingredients
8 eggs
1 tsp. garlic salt
3 1/2 tsp. butter, divided
12 oz. lean ground sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/3 c. canned sliced mushrooms, drained
1 c. prepared spaghetti sauce
1 c. sour cream
1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
 
1 package (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent rolls
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
Mix eggs and garlic salt until well blended. Heat 1 1/2 tsp. butter in 10 inch skillet over medium heat. Pour egg mixture into skillet. As eggs begin to set, carefully draw cooked portions at edges toward center with spatula, allowing uncooked portions to flow to the bottom. Cook until bottom is set and eggs are thickenedthroughout, but still moist; set aside.
Brown sausage and onion in skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and spaghetti sauce; bring to a boil. Spoon meat mixture into bottom of lightly greased 9x13 baking dish. Top with eggs, sour cream, and Mozzarella cheese.
Unroll crescent dough and arrange on top of cheese. Blend remaining 1 1/2 tsp. butter with Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over dough.
Bake at 350 degrees until browned and bubbly, 25-30 minutes.
