     Chilli Sauce

Ingredients
24 hard ripe tomatoes peeled and chopped
3 lg. green bell peppers chopped
6 medium onions chopped
4 cups sugar
2 -4 cups vinegar
2 T mustard seed
1 T celery seed
1 T cinnamon
1 pkg. whole Allspice tied in cheesecloth bag
 

Instructions
Place chopped tomatoes, peppers, and onions in colander to drain for two hours. I save the fluid drained for soups.
Place drained vegetables in large kettle, add remaining ingredients.
Simmer for one hour, remove allspice and continue simmering for another hour.
Place in 1/2 pint or pint canning jars. Will keep in refrigerator for up to one year.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with pot roast or beef shanks.
