In a bowl mix the eggs, sugar, cornsyrup, vanilla and melted butter with a whisk till mixed well.
In an uncooked pieshell place the cup and half of pecans in the bottom. Pour the mixture over the pecans.
Bake at 250 degrees for 15min then 350 degrees for about another 20. Toothpick should come out clean. If pie still seems soupy after the 20min. cover it with foil so the edges dont burn and cook a little longer.
