1 - 20 oz can crushed pineapple, in juice, undrained
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup butter
1 - 5 oz can evaporated milk
Instructions
Grease a 9x13 pan. Heat oven to 350. In a medium bowl mix flour, 1 1/4 cup of sugar, baking soda and salt. Add undrained pineapple and mix well. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toohpick comes out clean.
To make the glaze- In a 1-2 quart saucepan mix the following- Remaining, 3/4 cup sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil over moderate heat and cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly until slightly thickened. Remove cake from oven and pour hot glaze over it. Cool. Store in refrigerator.
