1 cup chana dal
|
|
1/2 cup urad dal
|
|
3 black cardamom
|
|
1 tsp turmeric powder
|

1/4 tsp asafoetida
|

salt to taste

1/2 cup ghee
|
|
1/2 cup onions, chopped
|
|
2 tsp garlic, chopped
|
|

200g tomatoes, chopped
|
|
2 tsp red chilli powder
|
|
2 tsp corriander powder
|
|
3 tsp ginger, chopped
|
|
1 tsp cumin powder
|
|
1 tsp garam masala
|
|
5 green chillies, chopped
|
|
2 tbsp green corriander chopped
|
|

Instructions |

Boil the chana & urad dal in 3 cups water with black cardamom turmeric powder, asafoetida, and salt. Cook till tender. Keep aside.

Heat the ghee in a wok; add oinions and garlic; fry till light brown.
|
|
|
Add the remaining ingredients (except green corriander). Cook till the tomatoes turn soft. Add this to the dal mixture. Mix well.
|
|
|
Serve hot, garnished with green corriander.
