DOUGH-
Heat the milk, water and oil to between 105 and 115F
Whisk together the sugar, salt, yeast and 1c. of flour.
Mix together until smooooth
Stir in the remainder cup of flour (you'll probably need more) and knead until the dough springs back from a poke, and when you stretch it, it stretches not tears. (15- minutes of kneading. A bread hook and mixer is particularly awesome for this)
Rub the dough lightly with olive oil, cover and let rise for half an hour.
