Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add combined
flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; mix well. Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
Drop rounded tbs onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 min or until golden brown.
Cool 1 min on cookie sheet and remove to wire rack to cool completely.
To make healthy cookies replace butter with apple sauce and omit granulated sugar.
