     Warm Apple Tart

Ingredients
1 package frozen puff pastry
3 T. unsalted butter
All-purpose flour for rolling
2 Golden Delicious apples
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. ground coriander
1 large egg
Whip Cream
 

Instructions
Thaw 1 sheet of pastry at room temp for 30-45 minutes. Preheat oven to 475 degrees & butter a round baking sheet. On a lightly floured work surface,roll out pastry a bit more than 12 inches square. Use a plate as a guide and cut out a 12 inch circle. Place on buttered baking sheet. Place in fridge.
Peel apples. Cut in half & remove core. Trim ends and slice thinly. Take baking sheet out of fridge. Arrange apple in a circle overlapping 1/2 inch. Leave a 1/2 inch border at edges. Cover entire pastry except border. Combine cinnamon, sugar, & coriander. Sprinkle over apples only. Sugar on pastry will burn.
Cut 3 T. butter into 20 pieces and place over apples. Whisk egg in a small bowl and use to glaze border. Place in oven til border browns and apples are tender 13 to 15 minutes.
Cut into 4 quarters and top with whip cream.
