     Our Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup softened butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in 2 teaspoons hot water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chip cookies
 
Instructions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream togeher the butter and sugars, JUST until blended. Add eggs, then the vanilla and the soda.
Add flour and stir just long enough to blend. Stir in chips.
Drop by the spoonfuls onto parchment. Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly brown.
