Heat a heavy bottomed pan olive oil, bacon, garlic and onions and cook until onions are soft(5-10 minutes). Stir in the chicken stock and liquid smoke. Add green beans and season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low and cook the beans until they are soft but not mushy about 30 min. Adjust seasoning to taste.
