     Spicy/Sweet Salad

Category   Salads - Soups - Sidedishes
Sub Category   None
Servings   8
Preptime   25

Ingredients
10oz -ish spring mix salad
2 large bartlett pears, cut into thin slices
1 qt. strawberries, cut up
4 oz. reduced fat feta cheese crumbles
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup warm water
1 cup pecan halves
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp chili powder

1/8 tsp. ground red peper
Spicy Sweet Pecans
Balsalmic Vinaigrette Dressing

Instructions
SPICY SWEET PECANS- 1. Preheat oven to 350. Stir together 1/4 cup sugar and warm water until sugar dissoves. Add pecans and soak for 10 minutes. Drain water away. 2. Combine 2 tbsp. sugar, chili powder, and red pepers. Add pecans, tossing to coat. Place pecans on a lightly greased baking sheet. 3. Bake pecans at 350 for 10 minutes or until golden brown, stirring after 5 minutes.
Mix all the ingredients together. Some mix blue cheese crumbles instead of feta. I also use splenda instead of sugar.
