     German Apple Cake

Ingredients
2 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tbsp salt
1/4 tbsp butter
2 tart sliced apples
1 egg
2/3 c sweet milk
Cinnamon
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400. Mix and sift dry ingredients. Cut in the butter.
Beat egg and add milk to egg and stir into dry mixture with as little mixing as possible.
Bake in a flat greased pan and spread about 3/4 inches and press slices of apples down on top.
Mix a little cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle with a few specks of butter. Bake 30 min until brown on top.
