     Sour Cream Cucumbers

Category   Salads - Soups - Sidedishes
Sub Category   None
Servings   4-6

Ingredients
1/2 t salt
1 scant T sugar
2 T cider vinegar
1 c sour cream
2 T chopped chives
2 T chopped fresh dill, (heads and fronds) or 1 T dry dill weed
1 t celery seed
2 firm fresh cucumbers

Instructions
Dissolve the salt and sugar in the vinegar. Add the sour cream and stir until smooth. These can be adjusted to taste, but don't make it too sweet. Add the chives and the celery seed. Slice the unpared cucumbers paper-thin and combine with salad dressing. Chill for 1 hour or more. The flavor improves the longer they stand. The flavor of the cucumbers seeps into the dressing.
